Text Box: Learner Drivers I currently operate a franchise with LDC, which is the third largest national driving school in the UK approved by the Driving Standards Agency (ORDIT). While each LDC instructor operates his or her own driving school business, they all share a common aim - to provide the highest standards of tuition at the lowest overall cost. Beware of driving instructors that just teach you to pass the test. I often take on clients who have failed with other instructors—and am shocked that they haven’t been experienced ‘difficult’ road junctions and situations that happen to be off the test routes. Such limited tuition will leave you lacking the basic skills you will need to be safe on the road. I will teach you to drive rather than pass the test! Experienced Drivers

Let’s face it—we ALL pick up bad habits and often after remarkably little time after passing that test!  I can offer you:

· Pass Plus

· Motorway Tuition

· Confidence Building Courses (useful if you’ve been unfortunate enough to have had an accident)

· Advanced Driving Courses for IAM, RoSPA or DIA Advanced tests

 

Company Drivers

The question for any Fleet Manager to ask is: “How good are our company car drivers?”  Companies have a duty under the Health & Safety at Work Act to ensure their drivers are up to the mark.  Do you regulate the hours your employees may drive?  I’m sure you record accidents but do you encourage ‘near miss’ reporting?

Would you like to reduce your fleet insurance costs and save those insurance excess payments?  Not to mention the downtime to vehicles and people after an accident!  How would your insurers reward you if ALL your drivers had passed an Advanced Assessment?

Whilst any Driving Instructor can “check out” their driving, what standard are they training to?  To best protect your business (and build on the experienced drivers’ skills) your best option is to use an instructor who is also a RoSPA Diploma holder.  We use exactly the same system of car control as Blue Light drivers. 

Contrary to popular opinion, “Making Progress” isn’t about driving fast.  It’s about thinking about what you’re doing and maximising your safety space when you drive. 

The Advanced Driver is ALWAYS in the right position on the road, travelling at the right speed with the correct gear engaged for the circumstances—and ALWAYS able to stop safely in the distance that can be seen to be clear.
